PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
More Than 25 Years Of
Operating And Transaction Experience
Ferrel H. Raskin is an entrepreneur and business operator with more than 25 years of experience spanning commercial real estate, capital formation, transaction execution, regulated manufacturing, product development, and business development.
Earlier in his career, Raskin was a partner in East Thunderbird Square, a 31-acre, approximately 375,000-square-foot commercial real estate development in Scottsdale, Arizona. He participated in the development, management, and eventual $107.5 million sale of the property, applying experience in finance, contract negotiation, business operations, and transaction execution.
Raskin subsequently led businesses operating in regulated manufacturing and product-development environments, with responsibilities encompassing operations, commercialization, licensing, strategic partnerships, and capital formation.
During this period, he was involved in raising approximately $50 million in private equity capital to support business growth, commercialization, and strategic initiatives.
He later served as chief executive of a regulated manufacturing company that entered into a strategic transaction valued at more than $20 million with a national industry operator. That experience further expanded his background in complex transactions, regulatory considerations, commercial-scale operations, and strategic business development.
ROLE AT AIL
Leadership At
Alternative Investment Liquidity
As Chief Executive Officer of Alternative Investment Liquidity, Raskin leads the firm's strategic direction and is actively involved across its investment review and transaction process.
His responsibilities include investor outreach and communications, evaluation of illiquid alternative investment positions, market and pricing analysis, transaction structuring, buyer relationships, business development, and the continued development of AIL's operating processes.
Raskin also directs the firm's efforts to expand investor awareness of potential secondary-market liquidity options for alternative investments that may not have access to a traditional securities exchange or readily available redemption program.
His role combines the perspective of an operator, transaction participant, and business builder with AIL's specialized focus on evaluating potential liquidity for privately held and non-exchange-traded investment positions.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Alternative Investments
And Secondary-Market Liquidity
Raskin's work at AIL focuses primarily on evaluating potential liquidity involving non-traded REITs, Delaware Statutory Trust interests, limited partnership interests, private placements, and other illiquid alternative investment positions.
Each position presents different considerations. Ownership structure, transfer restrictions, sponsor procedures, available documentation, buyer demand, current market conditions, and the investor's liquidity objectives can all affect whether a practical transaction may be available.
AIL's approach is therefore based on evaluating each investment individually rather than assuming that a single liquidity process or valuation methodology applies to every alternative investment.

TRANSACTION EXPERIENCE
An Operator's Perspective
On Complex Transactions
Across his career, Raskin has worked at the intersection of operating businesses, asset evaluation, capital formation, negotiation, and transaction execution.
His experience includes commercial real estate development and disposition, private equity fundraising, regulated manufacturing operations, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and the development and commercialization of new business concepts.
That operating background informs AIL's approach to alternative investment liquidity: understand the investment, ownership structure, transfer mechanics, documentation, and market environment first, and then evaluate whether a practical secondary-market solution may exist.
This approach is particularly relevant to investments where there may be no public exchange, continuously quoted market price, standardized exit process, or guaranteed buyer.
